The November Playlist

With winter drawing in check out the latest CSR Playlist to get you the cold, featuring new music from Clean Bandit, Will Joseph Cook, Sum 41 and many more. We are also this month showcasing local Kent bands who will be performing at ‘CSR Presents’ this 24 November at the Ballroom in Canterbury.

Clean Bandit – Rockabye ft. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie
‘Rockabye’ is the English electronic music group’s new single about the tribulations of single motherhood.

Becky Hill – Warm
Becky Hill has dropped her new electro-pop single ‘Warm’, complete with the retro animated cover art characteristic of her image and sound.

The Weeknd – False Alarm
‘False Alarm’, from the R&B star’s new album ‘Starboy’, was released on October 11th, with the album to be unveiled on November 25th. The Weeknd will be touring the UK from March 5th-14th 2017.

Biffy Clyro – Rearrange
With its softer tone and romantic undertones, ‘Rearrange’ is the 4th single from the Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro’s album ‘Ellipsis’. They will be performing at London’s The O2 on the 8th of December 2016.

Chase & Status – All Goes Wrong ft. Tom Grennan
The English electronic music production duo, composed of Saul Milton and Will Kennard, release their new single ‘All Goes Wrong’.

Kings Of Leon – Around The World
The American rock band Kings Of Leon have released ‘Around The World’, an energetic taster of their new album ‘WALLS’.

Lady Gaga – A-YO
Lady Gaga’s single ‘A-YO’ is from her new country-influenced album ‘Joanne’, produced by Mark Ronson, which she has named after her late aunt and in which she explores the concept of authenticity.

Bruno Mars – 24K Magic
The American singer-songwriter released a new groovy single called ‘24K Magic’ on October 7th, which features in his third studio album.

Disciples – Daylight
With its pitched-down vocals, deep bass line and dose of brass, the deep house track ‘Daylight’ is reminiscent to the sounds that got the South London trio Disciples in the limelight.

Maroon 5 – Don’t Wanna Know
The American pop rock band released its new hit single ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ which reflects on past heartbreak.

MØ – Drum
Danish singer-songwriter MØ releases her single ‘Drum’, which was co-written by Charli XCX, BloodPop, and Noonie Bao. Along with ‘Final Song’ and ‘Cold Water’, it promotes her upcoming second album which is due sometime soon this year via RCA Records.

James Vincent McMorrow – Get Low
The Irish singer and songwriter’s electrified melancholic voice bemoans past love in his new song ‘Get Low’. It is part of the album ‘We Move’, which is out now and full of neo-soul sounds.

Fish Tank – The Bend
Local rock band Fish Tank is from Broadstairs, Kent, and they just released their new Single ‘The Bend’ on the 21st of October.

Sia – The Greatest ft. Kendrick Lamar
Sia’s talent as a singer-songwriter is reasserted in her up-tempo new hit single and anthem of perseverance and self-love ‘The Greatest’. It commemorates the June massacre of 49 people at an Orlando gay bar.

Deaf Havana – Trigger
The English alternative rock band from Norfolk come out with ‘Trigger’, which features on their up-coming new album “All These Countless Nights, available 27th January 2017.

Glass Peaks – Your Eyes
Local indie band Glass Peaks from Canterbury, Kent, creates sweet alt-pop tunes and their song ‘Your Eyes’ is the perfect way to delve into their enthralling vocals and colorful guitar sounds. They will be headlining ‘CSR Presents’ on the 24th November at the Ballroom in Canterbury.

Bon Iver – 29 #Strafford APTS
The American indie folk band release of ‘Strafford Apts’ is a window into their new album ’22, a Million’. The varying soundscapes composed of distortions and dropouts take us on a journey into the seemingly infinite depth of human yearning.

Sum 41 – There Will Be Blood
Sum 41 is a rock band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada, and ‘There Will Be Blood’ is part of their new album ’13 Voices’, which merge punk and metal influences together.

Bring Me The Horizon – Oh No
The British band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, bring us ‘Oh No’ from their fifth studio album ‘That’s The Spirit’, which is a 43-minute blast of ingenious rock.

Honeyblood – Babes Never Die
The Scottish musical duo Honeyblood release ‘Babes Never Die’ as a part of their album also titled ‘Babes Never Die’ with its punchy hooks and defiant attitude.

Two Door Cinema Club – Gameshow
Gameshow is the third studio album by Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club, with ‘Gameshow’ leaning into more electro-pop rock sounds.

The Naked And Famous – Laid Low
From the New Zealand indie electronic band’s new album ‘Simple Forms’ emerges the fizzy electro-rock sounds of ‘Laid Low’ which are highlighted by the drums and bass.

SWMRS – Palm Trees
The American punk rock band’s debut angsty garage-rock album ‘Drive North’ is as driven and rough as it is ironic and humorous, with ‘Palm Trees’ as its single release.

You Me At Six – Plus One
‘Plus One’ is part of the English rock band’s album ‘Night People’, coming out on the 13th of January.

Christine and The Queens – Saint Claude
The French singer-songwriter from Nantes released ‘Saint Claude’, from her new EP ‘Sainte Claude’, which contains softly glowing electronics and hints of R&B and hip-hop.

Run The Jewels – Talk To Me
American hip hop supergroup Run The Jewels’ anxiously awaited new album ‘Run The Jewels 3’’ debuts with ‘Talk To Me’. The song has a punchy rap flow packed with vitriol and social critique, calling out both Trump and these ‘All Live Matter-ass white folk’.

Phantogram – You Don’t Get Me High Anymore
‘You Don’t Get Me High Anymore’ features in the new album ‘THREE’. The American music duo from Greenwich, New York, slather their sounds in synth and bass.

Will Joseph Cook – Sweet Dreamer
‘Sweet Dreamer’, with its funky guitar riffs and perfect drums, is the new single of the Royal Tunbridge Wells boy Will Joseph Cook.

THRONES – Hands
THRONES, the London based indie-pop band comes out with ‘Hands’, as part of their new EP. They will be playing ‘CSR Presents’ on the 24th November at the Ballroom in Canterbury.

The Skins – Bury Me ft. D.R.A.M.
The Brooklyn-based band The Skins collaborate with D.R.A.M., the American rapper, singer and songwriter from Virginia, on their new track ‘Bury Me’. With its echoing chants and captivating beats, the song is the single of their EP, ‘Still Sleep’.

Enter Shikari – Hoodwinker
The English rock band goes heavy in ‘Hoodwinker’, a new release from their album ‘Alexandra Palace’, which is still available for pre-orders until its release on November 18th.

The Killers – Peace of Mind
‘Peace of Mind’ is the American rock band The Killers’ commemoration of the tenth anniversary of their iconic album ‘Sam’s Town’, as it was a previously unreleased demo track from that album. Its soft vocals and light crashing cymbals crescendo into a chill rock song.

JoJo – I Can Only. (Feat Alessia Cara)
Part of her the pop singer’s album ‘Mad Love’ is JoJo’s new single ‘I Can Only’.

Korn – A Different World (Feat. Corey Taylor)
The American nu metal band from California release their new song ‘A Different World’ along with a surrealistically animated music video. The track is slated to be the next single from the band’s upcoming album, “The Serenity of Suffering”.

Crystal Fighters – All Night
The English electronic/folk band Crystal Fighters released ‘All Night’, a feel good party song with a chorus of voices bubbling with cheer.

SAINT MOTEL – “Born Again”
The American indie pop band from Los Angeles releases ‘Born Again’, which is reminiscent of their dream-pop sounds – check out their music video for a 360 virtual experience. They will be playing in London on the 9th of February.

Empire Of The Sun – High And Low
‘High And Low’ is the new single of the Australian electronic music duo’s album ‘Two Vines’. Its mellow and dreamy electro-pop disco sounds render imagery of a beautiful and earthy world.

Peter Doherty – I Don’t Love Anyone
Peter Doherty announces his new album, ‘Hamburg Demonstrations’, which is coming out on the 2nd of December, with new song ’I Don’t Love You Anymore’.

Green Day – Still Breathing
Green Day’s ‘Still Breathing’ is part of their new album ‘Revolution Radio’. Their first album in four years is vibrant punk rock, with the added wisdom and experience of their break.
