CSR nominated for Student Radio Awards
Good news everyone we have been nominated for two Student Radio Awards this year. Supported by BBC 1 and Global, the Student Radio Awards aim to launch the next generation of student talent into the radio industry. The awards additionally celebrate the wide variety of content that is created by the volunteer-run radio stations around the country.
Our radio drama ‘Chance Encounter’ has been nominated for Best Speech Programming, which also recognises entertaining speech programming; including comedy, scripted dramas, panel shows as well as shows containing fictional, story-based content or readings. The drama was produced by Jack Claramunt, who graduated from CCCU this year with a degree in Film, Radio and Television.
The second nomination went to ‘Canterbury Food and Drink 2015’ for Best Event Or Outside Broadcast, which is an award dedicated to programmes that were produced outside of the station’s studios. CSRfm covered the Canterbury Food & Drink festival by being at the event live from Dane John Gardens and giving away a hamper full of local produce worth over £250.
The results will be revealed on the 10 November at a star-studded ceremony at the O2 Arena.
