The United Colours of Canterbury
United Colours of Canterbury is an international speech show. Who is international? – we all are! The show gives a chance for enthusiastic people to come forward and talk about the music they enjoy and in what way it has shaped their experience. You could be local resident with a life story you would like to share or business to promote, an overseas visitor or student, you could be born in Europe (yes that includes the UK!) you could have lived in another country, perhaps you have travelled, volunteered or worked overseas?
If somewhere in the world has made a huge impression on you, then please share your story with us. Remember, being international is a state of mind.
- our previous guests include a local poet, local human rights campaigner, design student, law centre volunteer and local band.
- currently the show is monthly and will then be uploaded to Soundcloud so you can make your own copy.
- we are also an internet radio station so your relatives and friends around the world can tune in, call us and take part too!
For more details please ‘like’ us on Facebook and stay in touch.
Send a message if you would like to take part.
Everyone is welcome.
“HOST is a voluntary organisation, a network of UK residents who welcome adult international students to their homes for a weekend, day or Christmas visit.
The purpose is to give students an insight into the way of life in Britain. Students also share their own culture with their hosts.
By helping students far from home feel welcome in the UK, HOST contributes to international friendship and goodwill.
