CSR Awards

It is awards season and CSR don’t want to be left out, so we can now announce that the CSR awards are now open!

Every year – we run our own internal awards which celebrate the work of our presenters, producers, tech and marketing teams.

This year we are doing things slightly differently – we want YOU to submit your best bits and why you should be nominated. This gives everybody a fair chance to enter and have their entry judged – this is also EXCELLENT practice for the students wishing to apply for Student Radio Awards in the summer. Every category is open to both student and community members of CSR. Below are the categories you can enter:

Categories

Best Male Presenter

This category is for a male radio presenter who deserves particular recognition for
their overall presentation style and skills, including production and rapport with their
audience.

for their overall presentation style and skills, including production and rapport with their

Best Newcomer

This category is for a member of a CSR who has been involved for less than one year. Best Daytime Programme

This category recognises programming that forms part of the station’s Daytime output with a particular emphasis on the items and links within, acknowledging the person or persons responsible for devising, writing and producing them. An example of the genre would be a breakfast or drivetime show.

Best Speech Programming

This category recognises the creation of non-factual speech programming. This can include comedy or scripted dramas, panel shows and programmes designed to make listeners laugh as well as shows containing fictional, story-based content or readings.

Best Specialist Music Programming

This category is designed to recognise programmes that have a specialist music policy that is more tightly focussed than the station’s main playlist. Judges will consider one-off documentaries or specials but programmes must display a passion for music.

Best Off Air Contribution

This category is designed for those contributions that have not been a contribution to a specific radio show. This could be in form of work within the production, marketing or tech team.
