CSR’s Ross Hoare and Shane Wilkinson presented the National Student Radio Chart live from the station’s Studio Red at the University of Kent on Sunday 12 May.  The pair were joined on air by a host of other CSR members who helped with features, games, interviews and recapping the countdown itself.

Before revealing My Motto from Jade Bird had made the top 3 while Bad Guy from Billy Eilish had just missed out on the top spot, which was retained by Sam Fender’s Hypersonic Missiles, the pair indulged in some top-class punning, discussed how the Archbishop of Canterbury would deal with alien invaders and pondered just how evil cream teas are with scones coming in for some in depth analysis!

The show was syndicated across student radio stations the length and breadth of the country and is hosted by a different student station each week.  The show also features a hot pick from the host station – CSR’s highlighted up-and-coming singer/songwriter Ben Holland in an interview by Tone Blakesley which featured an exclusive performance of his latest track, Midnight Blue.

As well as presenting the show, the CSR team ran the Chart Show’s social media channels in the run up to, and throughout, the show.

The full list of those involved is Alayna Marsh, Becky Sheeres, Eddie Thomas, Ellie Tomlin, Isabella Portesis, Robin Blamires, Ross Hoare, Shane Wilkinson, and Tone Blakesley.

There’s another chance to hear the show at 7.00pm on Monday 13 May.
